Hassett & Donnelly Adds Carlisle to Hartford Office

July 7, 2016 – Hassett & Donnelly, P.C., an insurance defense trial practice firm, announced today that Joseph H. Carlisle has joined the firm as an attorney in its Hartford office.

Mr. Carlisle’s practice focuses on complex insurance coverage matters, construction defect, toxic tort, professional liability, product liability and employment litigation. In addition, he has substantial experience defending insurers against extra-contractual claims including bad faith and unfair insurance practices.

Prior to joining Hassett & Donnelly, Mr. Carlisle worked for an established insurance defense firm located outside of Hartford, Connecticut.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, the State of New York, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Carlisle received his J.D. from The University of Connecticut School of Law (2006) where he served as Senior Associate Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal. Mr. Carlisle received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Salisbury University in 2002, graduating cum laude and earning admission into the National Honor Society for Psychology and the International Honor Society for the Social Sciences.

Mr. Carlisle was selected for inclusion in the Connecticut Rising Stars in the areas of insurance coverage, civil litigation defense and appellate practice in 2010, 2011/2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
