Mr. Ober’s practice focuses on civil litigation. He has served as lead counsel in cases before federal and state courts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, as well as before various administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He has successfully served as lead trial counsel in numerous jury and bench trials, and in 2005 he was cited concerning a case involving the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Statute in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Mr. Ober also regularly provides insurance coverage opinions involving a variety of legal issues and insurance policy coverage forms.
His practice areas include Civil Litigation, Catastrophic Injury and Wrongful Death, Insurance Coverage Opinions, Civil Rights Litigation, Municipal Liability Litigation, Construction Litigation, Appellate Litigation, and Massachusetts Tort Claims Act (M.G.L. c. 258) Litigation.
Mr. Ober was selected for inclusion in the Massachusetts Super Lawyer list in the area of Insurance Coverage (2013-2016). His bar admissions include the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of New Hampshire, State of Connecticut, State of Vermont, United States District Court for the Districts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Mr. Ober received his J.D. from Vermont Law School, South Royalton, Vermont, in 1994 and his B.S. from Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania, in 1991.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Worcester County Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
